The MOST PERFECT Sloppy Joe Dish

1 small onionl Chop and seed 1/2 small green bell pepper finely. 1 tablespoon sauce Worcestershire 1/2 teaspoon mustard yellow 1 tablespoon of caramelized sugar 15 ounce tomato sauce can 85%-90% lean minced beef, 1 pound One tablespoon of olive oil ½ teaspoon ground black pepper 1/4 cup water, optionally added to 3 minced garlic cloves Four hamburger buns, if desired



Chop the onion finely. Finely julienne and seed the green pepper.

STEP- 2 

Mix the Worcestershire sauce, mustard, brown sugar, and tomato sauce in a basin.

STEP- 3 

Preheat a Dutch oven or large skillet over medium-high heat. Olive oil and ground sirloin are added. Using a spatula, brown the beef for approximately 5 minutes, or until it is cooked through and no longer raw. After seasoning with pepper and salt, incorporate the minced peppers and onion. Once the beef has seared and the vegetables are tender, cook for an additional 5 minutes.

STEP- 4 

Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds, or until aromatic. While stirring in the sauce, bring to a gentle simmer. Simmer uncovered for approximately 10 to 15 minutes, or until thickened to taste, over low heat. Use salt and pepper to flavor, and water if a looser consistency is desired. Toast the breads in preparation of Sloppy Joe sandwiches.
