12 oz. penne pasta, (about 3 cups) ▢1 1/2 cups whole milk ▢1 1/2 cups chicken broth, low-sodium ▢2 tsp minced garlic ▢salt and pepper to taste (I prefer to use Garlic Salt with Parsley Flakes) ▢1/2 cup heavy whipping cream ▢1 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated ▢12 oz. smoked sausage, fully cooked (any variety), sliced ▢parsley, chopped (optional)

Step : 1

Prepare pasta according to the instructions on the container. Prepare Alfredo sauce while the pasta cooks by combining milk, broth, and garlic in a skillet over LOW-MEDIUM heat. Add pepper and salt.

Step : 2 

Whisk together heavy cream and Parmesan cheese with the sauce.

Step : 3

Simmer the sausage segments for an additional few minutes, or until the sausage is thoroughly heated.

Step : 4

Stir the cooked noodles into the skillet to combine.

Step : 5

Fresh, minced parsley or additional Parmesan cheese may be used as garnish.
