Easy Recipe for Taco Soup

1 pound ground lean sirloin One tablespoon of olive oil 1 medium onion diced finely diced green bell pepper and one-half red bell pepper 3 minced cloves of garlic 1 packet of store-bought taco seasoning or 2 tablespoons of taco seasoning 16 ounces of strained can beans (kidney or pinto) 1 cup canned 1 1/2 cups diced tomatoes

INGREDIENTS

INSTRUCTIONS STEP- 1

Prepare taco seasoning by weighing 2 tablespoons from a single sachet of store-bought taco seasoning.

STEP- 2 

Place oil in a Dutch oven to prepare. Add the minced beef, onion, and bell peppers to the hot pan and cook, breaking up the beef with a spatula as it browns. Using a spoon, remove any surplus fat.

STEP- 3 

Stir in the garlic and taco seasoning for an additional minute.

STEP- 4 

Corn, legumes, tomatoes, and broth are added. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes after bringing to a boil. Add salt and pepper to flavor, or incorporate additional taco seasoning.

STEP- 5

Serve soup while still hot, garnished as preferred.
