CHEESY CHICKEN BROCCOLI BRAID RECIPE

Ingredients 

2 1/4 tsp yeast ▢1 cup warm water ▢2 tsp sugar ▢2-2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour ▢1 tsp salt ▢2 tbsp. olive oil 8 oz. cream cheese softened ▢2 cups chicken cooked and diced ▢2 cups broccoli steamed and cooled ▢1/2 tsp garlic powder ▢1/4 tsp pepper ▢1 cup cheese shredded, divided ▢egg

Step : 1

Use tepid water and sugar to dissolve yeast in a medium bowl or stand mixer. Five minutes should pass, or until effervescent. Combine olive oil, flour, and salt to create a homogeneous dough.

 As required, incorporate flour until the dough reaches a texture that is barely tacky but not excessively viscous. In a greased dish, allow to rise for 30 minutes.

Step : 3

In the interim, preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Combine a quarter cup of cheese, cream cheese, chicken, broccoli, garlic powder, and salt and pepper.

Once the dough has risen, punch it down gently and shape it out into a 15-by-20-inch rough rectangle on a parchment paper or silicone mat (no need to be exact!).

Step : 5

Garnish with the remaining Parmesan. Cut diagonal one-inch segments using a pizza cutter or sharp knife, beginning at the perimeter of the rectangle and proceeding to the filling in the center.

Place silpat or parchment paper on a baking sheet. Combine water and egg, then brush the egg mixture over the plait. Lightly sprinkle with sea salt.
